Within this Business Policy find answers to your questions. This is written to the fullest extent as a structure by which business will be conducted. Changes may be made at any time to resemble intentions of business conduct. These are not terms and conditions.

  1. Quality Assurance

    • As an adept in pottery small to large, Spitzmade wares are reliable and competitive.

    • Weight and size will meet an appropriate standard for each work item. Aspects of shape, color, details and effects may vary a small extent but are reliably remade to match. Greater levels of detail can be accomplished by dedicating more time to a work item, naturally.

    • Navigate to the Online Store to browse finished products. Add to Cart and pay in Checkout.

    • Credit card and Pay Pal are accepted on the squarespace platform.

    • Sales tax is applied in checkout. Delivery fees are described under the options available.

  4. Custom Orders

    • Begin with an inquiry or add a commission to your cart. Quick listings in the Custom Orders page are available, or an order may be done through Catalogue instructions.

    • The Options:
      Choose shape and size from website references. Decide finished colors or select the glaze from a brochure.
      Detail a personalized design or written text. Letters or images may be stamped or stenciled to the commissioned item.

    • Consultation is offered to commissioners by email, phone or in person to guarantee certain details. You will be contacted in 1-4 days to confirm your commission is approved or under consideration prior to setting a consultation time. Once you are notified of approval the timeline of production will be addressed. An estimated timeline for commission may be 15-30 days.

    • If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent approval of your order or production in a timely matter, you may be at liberty to elect a refund minus any transaction fees.

    • An approved commission will render payment of 60-100% the estimated cost. Time in production will be clocked and the record is available upon request. The final cost will be adjusted primarily by clocked time and the commissioner may be eligible for a rebate if adjusted cost is under the estimate.

  5. Shipping and Delivery

    • Shipping labels are purchased through pirateship.com for competitive rates through UPS and USPS. Delivery may be 5-14 days from time of purchase.

    • Careful packaging will account for some of the delivery cost in addition to shipping labels.

    • International shipping is not available. Hawaii and Alaska destinations are not available.

    • Local delivery available to Madison, Wisconsin area. Choose packaging options, select preferences for dropoff or pickup for a minimal cost.

    • *Shipping delivery orders may be eligible for a rebate if actual costs are at least 10% lower than the estimated shipping statement. Large orders especially may be eligible.

  6. Replacements and Refunds

    • Sales are final upon dispatch. Once a package is labeled or receipt tendered, the item purchased has been dispatched to buyer.

      If a transaction is paid but not dispatched, the payment may be reversed minus any transaction fees. This may apply to an order not yet packaged which may be cancelled in a limited time, or payment made hastily before receipt is transacted. A transaction reversal is however distinct from a refund.

    • No conditions will guarantee that a refund or replacement will be fulfilled. Time and material cannot be unspent.

    • A justified complaint may warrant a case by case deal in exception however:
      Report a case for partial refund or replacement and it will be well considered to potentially make an agreement. If buyer dissatisfaction is determined to be warranted, a portion of price may be retroactively lowered to resemble a reduced cost of labor fitting to our agreement of your report. Similarly in the case of damage or wanted alteration, a replacement may be commissioned at a reduced rate according to what we agree is mutually affordable.

  7. Privacy Policy

    • Customer information is not collected by Spitzmade except for user surveys that do not address any sensitive information.

    • Any information will be held in confidence. Any wanted information likely pertains to inventory wares and creative design elements.

  8. Contact Information

    • Preferred contact@spitzmade.com or social media account messaging. Ideal times are 12-8pm any day.

    • Response times may be an hour later or the next day.
