Introducing Robert Spitz

Spitz is the name. Craft is the game.
Pottery is a longtime activity of mine done for fun since one class in High School. What ten years later I want to fulfill that first teacher's prediction and be an artist for a living. With perhaps more emphasis as a craftmaker than specifically artist.

The Artist

Robby studied at UW-Madison for his Bachelor of Science degree. His two majors were Molecular biology and Philosophy. All the while he continued spending time in the studio on pottery. At Dodgeland High School he began pottery as the first form of art he could really dive into. Since college he has been a member of the Bodgery in Madison to continue his passion.

The Art

Pottery includes: mugs, cups, bowls, plates, goblets, teapots, espresso cups, sake cups, jars, and vases. Pendants, tiles and sculpture are also explored. Laser cutting is sometimes incorporated in the craft process.
